Dell, Lenovo And Sony Are Amongst The Top 10 Laptop Computers
Since the times laptops were invented many companies caught onto the idea and started churning out products of their own. Companies like Sony, Apple, Dell and Alienware caught on to the concept quite early on and came out with products that inspired and fueled the revolution this new technology was about to cause. Customers were amazed with the varieties of computers that were now hitting the market and with prices nose diving, buying a laptop was now much easier. A bit of healthy competition never hurt anyone after all. A common topic is that of the top 10 laptop computers.
Coming to the topic, what with so many companies now manufacturing laptops, there was a race to occupying the top slot and many of these companies did, on and off as each tried to outdo the other with lower prices and better technology. Here we shall see some of the modern brands of laptops that occupy the top slots of laptop history.
One of the most popular companies that makes laptops is Apple Inc. also famous for their Ipod line of products. Apple realized early on that they had it in them. High funding and skilled engineers helped make the MacBook series of laptops which is one of the most popular laptops there ever was.the 2 laptops that are Apple's top sellers are the Apple MacBook and the Apple MacBook Pro. Both of these laptops are same in their technological specifications but the main difference lies in the humongous screen size of the MacBook Pro. Both consist of 2.16 GHz dual core processor with a 2GB RAM and 160 GB memory space. The MacBook has a screen size of 13.3 inches while the Pro has a 17 inch screen.
The other great company that has a range of high end laptops is Dell. The Dell XPS series is a hot seller with the customers. On the overall the XPS series the XPS M170 and the M1710 are almost similar to the Apple's MacBook series. Made up of the same technological equipment places the XPS series on the same platform as the MacBook series. The only difference among the M170 and the M1710 is the size of the graphics cards placed in both of them. While the 170 has a 256 MB graphics card the 1710 has a 512 MB one, making it the obvious better choice. The Dell Latitude D360 is the stepped down version of the XPS series. It consists of a 2 GHz processor and 120 GB memory space, retaining the same 2 GB RAM. Boasting of a 14.1 inch screen and light weight make it irresistible. The Sony series soon pitched in with its own efforts. The Sony Vaio series captured the interests of customers. For being slightly pricey the Vaio 160PC was good enough for the price to be overlooked by potential buyers. A 1.83 GHz processor with a 1 GB RAM was good enough for people.
HP also came out with its own laptop. The HP Pavilion Dv 6000T was also a bestseller. With a 2 GHz processor and a 1 GB RAM made it a laptop to be reckoned with. The HP Business Notebook Nx9420 was also a good laptop made up of a 2 GHz processor and a 2 GB Ram. The Lenovo 3000 V200 was also a good laptop. A 2 GHz processor coupled with a 2 GB RAM made it too good to be true except for the fact that its screen size standing at 12 inches was relatively small. The Lenovo 3000 V100 was a scaled down version of the V200 containing a much smaller graphics card, standing just at a mere 32 MB.
