Aurora m9700
The Aurora m9700 alienware laptop computer has been in the headlines recently. And why should it not be? It was voted the best gaming notebook. All the versions of the alienware laptop computer feature the AMD Turion 64 processor. The Aurora m9700 is called the SLI Gaming Notebook as it encompasses cutting edge graphics capabilities with an nVidia SLI Dual 7900 GS. The colour of the system can be customized and a variety of colours are available. The system has 400 MHz DDR memory and can is capable of upto 500 GB of storage. Also enclosed is an 8x dual layer DVD writer and reader. Aurora mALX The tag that comes with the Aurora mALX alienware laptop computer is 'Ultimate Graphics'. And from the looks of it, the tag is well deserved. The first thing that one would like to point out is the nVidia SLI Dual 7950 GTX. Ultimate graphics indeed. This version too, like the one described above, comes with an AMD Turin 64 processor, 400 Mhz DDR memory and has abilities to store upto 500 GB of storage. One major distinguishing factor is the Blu-Ray technology that is available in the Aurora mALX. The Blu-ray optical drive is capable of reading and writing DVDs that have a large amount of storage. Unlike the previously described version, the mALX does not have an option to customize colours. The available appearance, known as 'Chameleon Chassis', however, looks pretty stylish. Area-51 m5550 Nicknamed 'The Road Warrior' one can decipher that the main feature of this version of the alienware laptop computer is portability. This slightly low (or medium) end version has major differences from the versions that have been describes above. It features an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, unlike the other versions. It also has 667 MHz of DDR memory and is capable of holding half the previously mentioned amount of storage that is, 250 GB. It is equipped with 256MB nVidia graphics and an 8x dual layer DVD read write combo. Like the mALX, the m5550 also has a single predefined appearance theme, 'Saucer Silver'.
